The contract at this High Security In-Patient Mental Health facility involved the complete security upgrade of both the Kingsley & Lowry Wards, run by the Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. The work involved the erection of high security fencing around the ward compounds; anti-climb eaves and roof protection; the upgrade of internal doors and the complete replacement of the existing ironmongery to comply with current anti-ligature legislation and regulations. In addition we partnered with Intastop Ltd. to develop and install Intastops anti-ligature double action continuous Z hinge within existing door and frame combinations, minimising disruption to this occupied and sensitive facilitiy.
