Royal School for the Deaf

The Royal School for the Deaf & Communication Disorders provides educational and residential care for people with complex communication difficulties. Phase one of this sensitive project called for the demolition of part of the existing building and extensive alterations including new electrical and mechanical installations, a new roof, windows and alterations to the existing drainage system. After successfully completing phase one, Armitage then went on to secure phase two of this project which is currently in progress and comprises of the building of a new College block at the facility which will include a Library, Art Room, Vocational Workshop, Multi-Media centre, a Learning Difficulties room, Quiet rooms, Stores and Toilets.
